Developmental Editing
Developmental editing addresses the overall effectiveness of a project. I will consider elements like structure, the relationship of parts to whole, voice, and general stylistic choices.
Line Editing
Line editing happens at the sentence level after the questions asked in a developmental edit have been answered. I will look at sentence structure, paragraph structure, flow, transitions, and specific stylistic choices.
